Hydrotherapy Detox Massage

This course will stress hydrotherapy detoxification for its health benefits and is designed to compliment the Palliative Massage Course. Class will be held the weekend of July 13th to July 15th.

For RMT’s, Estheticans, Spa workers, health care workers and the General Public

How to integrate massage therapy and hydrotherapy without the fancy equipment and without the longer treatment time?

Christine Sutherland first introduced Kneipp Hydrotherapy to Canada through Monica Lorenzan in 1982. She studied in Bad Worishofen at the Kneipp School. Her hydrotherapy instructor at Sutherland Chan School Monica Lorenzen, was the first kneipp trained therapist in Canada. Christine incorporated Kneipp hydrotherapy into the student massage clinic for patients to learn about this home hydrotherapy.

The course is held in Lakeside Park in Nelson BC on Kootenay Lake. Hot Spring underwater massage will supplement the Kneipp teachings.

There is a public clinic practicum each day of the course in the park so that students can learn to integrate the hydrotherapy into their professional practices.

Full body wraps, partial wraps, steam inhalations, dry brushing, salt and sand glows, effusions and herbal facials are all included in this weekend workshop.
